The Battle of Pirates
18th August, Omis
At the time of Republic of Venice Omis, with pirates, was the only nuisance on its rise to the world domination. Pirates of Omis were building ships which remain unique in the history of the shipbuilding industry to these days and they were intercepting Venetian ships.
The Battle of Pirates revive those times and sea battles. In today’s battles, besides the pirates of Omis, the Moreska Society of St. Cecily from Korcula and the Uskoci from the Klis also takes part as guests.

The Alka of Sinj has been held every first Sunday in the month of August in town of Sinj in Croatia since 1715 and it’s in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. It celebrates the victory over Ottoman Turks.
The 1715 Siege of Sinj Performance
8th August, Sinj
Siege of Sinj is staged performance of the seven-day siege of Ottoman troops. The defenders were determined and were praying to the Mother of Mercy, the Miraculous Madonna of Sinj. Finally, the Ottomans left Sinj and the Cetinska Krajina region.

Postira is a village on island of Brac right accros Split. Little Night Regatta is a unique sailing event, possible only because of the gazul, air stream that refreshes Postira harbour during summer. After sailing competition, a big party usually lasts all night long.
