Stepping into the old part of Split town, you’ll be met by dozens of bars, restaurants, and shops thriving amid the atmospheric old walls where Split life has been humming along for thousands of years. Do not be afraid to wander around as you might pop in and fall in love with this unique fairy-tale house the Orvas Villa 62. Situated in one of the closest narrow streets to the scenic Marjan hill, just 500m from the heart of Diocletian’s Palace (an UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments)
You will be delighted with one of the most beautiful and romantic exteriors you have ever had the opportunity to see. If you are far from your place and looking for that feeling like you're at home, the Orvas Villa 62 will provide you with a luxurious stay in traditional surroundings full of enchantment that only the Mediterranean can offer.
This five-star villa has been completely refurbished in 2018 with exceptional care and detail followed by the laws of the Ministry, Protection, and Preservation of Ancient Monuments. Orvas Villa has two floors, namely 70m² plus auxiliary cottages within the building, measuring 45 m². It is a two-story house with two utility houses. On the first floor of the main house, there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a terrace. The ground floor has a kitchen with a dining area and living area, a large bathroom, and small storage. There are two exits to the courtyard, which is very practical, especially during summer days.
All the interior rooms are made from the original stone of the old house, wanting to keep as many original pieces as possible and blend them into a modern, industrial-style shade and design. Bathrooms feature retro tiles and a glass shower. The lower part of the house, however, is somehow darker because of this stone, but with the incorporation of an industrial style of lighting, it has received some gentleness and a pleasant feeling. The kitchen is custom-made.
In the room leaning on the house is the so-called - cave pool. The interesting fact is that this pool is a room where olive oil was stored back in the 18th century. The whole room is coated with epoxy resin and illuminated by a starry sky. The special charm of the home is a 20m² garden with a table for dining and can also be used as a private open-air cinema because there is a big TV, and with a good movie, barbeque, good company – what more you could ask for. The garden comes with various plants, a fence of jasmine that smells irresistible, roses and succulents in barrels and olives over 70 years old.
Through the narrow alleys surrounding Villa 62, the villa offers a parking place for up to three cars. If you are not confident to drive through the narrow street, we can offer you our assistance or you can keep your car in the public parking (parking fee) which is 150 meters from the house.
