Our 19th century Mediterranean stone villa with pool on Brac Island in the middle of town

Villa Vicina is chosen as one of „the best houses to rent“ according to DailyMail - perfect villa for a family holiday in Croatia, with your own private pool and play area.

With this authentic Croatian villa you can see, taste, hear and touch the real essence of Brac Island.
Situated in the middle of the town Milna on Brac Island, this villa rental in Croatia is just 80 meters away from the sea. Villa Vicina is protected with traditional high stone walls and mature fruit trees and offers complete privacy to guests.

This stone villa is 200 years old, extensively renovated in recent years and tastefully decorated so you can enjoy your Croatia holidays to the fullest extent. It is set in over 600 sq meters of private land with beautifully maintained gardens that are home to olive, almond, bearberry, lemon and orange trees that provides welcoming shade during hot summer days and an authentic homegrown feeling.

Villa Vicina is offering you comfort and luxury outdoor furniture, that extends our living space which means that we are offering you everything you need for a functional and attractive outdoor oasis.

Guests can also relax on the sun loungers around the swimming pool or enjoy a glass of juice in one of the dining terraces. You could even have a night swim with the pool floodlights – a magical experience for children that they wouldn’t forget.

Entering the property via the terrace, guests are immediately struck by the open space kitchen and dining area that lead into a very cozy living room, featuring traditional oak-beamed ceilings. The charming interior has been beautifully decorated with a tasteful mix of antiques and contemporary features.

Upstairs, on the first floor, there are two bedrooms, the first with a queen-sized bed and the second with two single beds, charmingly decorated in Dalmatian style. On the second floor is a spacious room with a king-sized bed and one single bed, with a terrace that offers breath-taking views of the beautiful sea bay and marina.

This Villa Vicina gives you plenty of space to relax and enjoy your Croatia holiday. Local restaurants, supermarkets, cafes are an only 3-minute walk from the villa. Milna in general offers top quality restaurants featuring freshly caught, authentic Brac seafood.

Milna is the perfect location to explore the various other Croatian islands that surround it including Hvar, Split or Dubrovnik. There are various day trip options available that allow you to explore these other areas at a reasonable price, often reached by speed boat or catamaran.

For sports enthusiasts, there is also biking, kayaking, hiking, trekking, rock climbing, sailing or just walking in nature. We recommend our local experiences such as olive picking, fishing, and wine tasting.

Upon check-in, a friendly host will provide you with a welcome pack which includes a bottle of water, juice, cookies, coffee, homemade cherry liqueur and extra virgin olive oil made by the owner. Everyday maid service and concierge services are included in the price.

Check out what our dear guest Wendy H.G. has to say for her experience with Villa Vicina and her holiday in Croatia:

„We absolutely lucked out with our villa. You can see the listing here and take my word for it that it is just as good, if not better, than the photos and reviews. It was right in the heart of the old town of Milna, beautifully appointed inside with original stonework and the outside space was just incredible – three levels comprising pool with outdoor shower and sunbathing area, outdoor cooking and dining area with sofas perfect for coffees and sundowners as well as more loungers and the upper level, a favorite with Hunter, with trampoline, table tennis, small play area and wicker seating. The house itself is also set over three levels with the top floor offering the most spectacular views of the bay and an outdoor, rooftop terrace.“

” This villa is huge and gorgeous, there are 4 different outdoor levels with sun loungers, bbq area in the shade, outdoor chill areas (great for chess, which they have a really nice board), and swimming pool. Beds very comfortable and air conditioning in every room. Lots of space to relax and enjoy yourself and unpack all your things for an enjoyably week in Milna. Beautiful deserted / almost private beaches close by and 30 second walk down to the local bars. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone. We don’t have kids but there is a kids play area on the property with table tennis and a trampoline. Loved it. It was all brilliant.”

John, Sep 2019

” Villa Vicina is a truly beautiful villa in a perfect location in Milna. The villa arranged a transfer from Split airport by speed boat as we arrived late and Ivan met us from the boat to check in at midnight. The villa is exactly as it looks in the photos and the beds are really comfy. The owners provide lots of little touches to make the stay extra special. Local olive oil and jam and some delicious local fortified wine. Highly recommend taking a small boat out and exploring the coast and otherwise just enjoy relaxing in this perfect villa.”

Diane, Aug 2019

All amenities, beautiful garden and terrace – set back from the lovely coastal village of Milna with great restaurants. Even includes its own tortoise who comes out to visit in the afternoon.”

Lucille, 2019

” The house is at the top, wonderfully located in the heart of Milna. The home is perfect, I recommend without hesitation! “

Ludovick, 2019

” The villa feels secluded yet being set in the middle of Milna, just a 2minute Walk from restaurants and cafes. Despite coming out of season there was still a little bit to do, and clearly plenty to be done during the summer. It’s a perfect location for those couples or friends looking for a relaxing week away. The villa itself has the most stunning views. The host is incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful with suggestions as what to do and where to go. Within the villa the grounds are beautiful with fresh fruit and veg, the pool, bbq and games area are impeccably finished. The kitchen has more than you need. A/C in all rooms, bedrooms are perfect sizes, towels and linen all provided and the bathrooms are a great size. The island of Brac is beautiful, a little quiet but still plenty to do and see. The sea itself is stunning, the bays and restaurants looking out make Milna a beautiful setting. I can not recommend this villa and location enough. The most perfect week away.”

Thomas, Oct 2018

” Stunning stone house with all amenities in the middle of the village of Milna within walking distance to restaurants, seaside baths, shops and supermarkets. We rented bikes and went around on small winding roads to beautiful baths outside the city. Neat and clean both in the city and in the villa. The owner was always close for questions and tips.”

Marie, Jun 2018

” You would be very lucky to stay in this villa. Easiest access is from split airport port directly by water taxi straight to Milna in Brac (you don’t have to travel down to main ferry port in Split town). You will be met in the harbour by Elena who will take you and your luggage to the villa which is 2 minutes (max) from the waterside. The villa has absolutely everything you could need. We couldn’t think of anything that would improve it. A fantastic family holiday. Great local bars and restaurants as well as supermarkets and bakeries. It is simply heaven! “

Wendy, May 2018

Monika, May 2018

” I spent 4 amazing days in this villa with my girlfriend in mid-October. This place is all what you need for a perfect get away vacation. The location is perfect. There’s an eye-catching view over beautiful village and bay. There’s loads of room in the house and beautiful garden with pool. They have all the necessary things what you have at home in the Villa. The view from the bedroom and the balcony is just mesmerizing. Closest restaurant is 200 meters from the house. I and my girlfriend liked this place so much that we just chilled in the garden basically the whole stay. The owners were really nice and their son Ivan was very helpful with tips and recommendations getting around the Brac island. We will definitely visit again.”

Mikko, Oct 2017

” Villa Vicina is a perfect Villa for a relaxing break with family or friends. We travelled with 4 adults and 2 babies and had everything we needed. Very comfortable interior and clean. Hosts were superb, at the end of the phone if we needed anything. We were greeted and help with our luggage to the Villa and given advice of local restaurants, Supermarkets etc with a mini tour of the centre of Milna. The host gave us help with renting a boat for the day. Villa has a great location right in the centre of Milna which is a beautiful Marina village with a good selection of restaurants and is very relaxing and picturesque. Pool area and outside dining are is brilliant. As the evenings cooled a touch it was nice to be able to sit outside in front of the fire drinking wine and eating. Local food and drink is very nice and reasonably priced. Would definitely revisit again.”

Craig, Sep 2017

” Three generations of my family have just come back from a wonderful week in this charming villa. The house itself is positioned in the old part of Milna with views down to the port. Beautifully decorated and elegantly furnished – we couldn’t have asked for more. Ivan was very helpful and friendly. He answered our queries promptly and helped with reccomendations of places to visit. We all agreed that we would be happy to return another day.”

Sep 2017

” Just returned home after a lovely couple of weeks at Villa Vicina in Milna. The villa is in a very good location in the village and all amenities are close by – lots of restaurants and cafes, some shops and bars. The villa itself is very pretty, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The island offers a lot of unspoilt coast with hidden coves and small seaside villages which are great to explore. Our host Ivan and his father were always on hand to answer any questions and responded to anything immediately, which made our stay even more relaxing. A lovely spot for a fun family holiday.”

Robert, Aug 2017

” This villa was lovely and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It was very spacious , clean and well equipped with everything you needed. It was well located near the harbour which had many restaurants , bars and shops to choose from. Ivan was also very helpful with anything we needed.”

Aug 2017

” Milna was the perfect place for the type of vacation we were looking for, a quiet and small town with all we needed within walking distance. The house Villa Vicina was everything the presentation promised, and some parts even exceeded it (thanks to the small turtle) and we highly recommend it. Ivan (our local host) was very helpful and could organize just about anything on short notice.”

Helge, Jul 2017

” My family and I stayed at Villa Vicina for 10 days and had a fantastic holiday. The Villa is beautiful, inside and out, it is so picturesque and looks exactly as in the photos. The inside is really nice, the rooms all have air conditioning, the beds are comfortable and every amenity you could require is provided. There is a lovely pool, areas to relax during the day and in the evening, a large play area for children with a table tennis table and trampoline. My 5 year old nephew befriended the house pet, a tortoise named Koni, he goes on a daily exploration of the grounds and potters around the garden all day. The village of Milna is very picturesque and perfect for a quiet holiday. The villa is a 2 minute walk away from the harbour, the restaurants all provided great service and the food was delicious. The fish at Restaurant OmO was a specific standout and a must visit if your staying in Milna. It is a very quiet village and it is worth venturing out to a few different areas if you want a little activity, we had a day trip to Zlatni Rat beach and also over to Hvar, both of which I would recommend. We also spent a day at the Villa’s private beach, the sea was crystal clear and great for swimming so definitely venture out there. Overall, I would highly recommend the Villa Vicina and it made our holiday on Brac island a memorable one. Thanks to Ivan for everything.”

Adam, Jun 2017

” This is a very spacious villa in a traditional stone home that has been restored in a very aesthetically pleasing, tasteful and quality way. It includes large living, dining and kitchen areas, three bedrooms, three baths, an outdoor pool and extensive patio and garden spaces. We loved it! “

Dennis, May 2017

” We had the most fantastic time at Villa Vicina! There is everything you can wish for; a playground for the kids, a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, swimming pool and roof terrace. The house is fantastic and close by to the harbour and restaurants. We all loved our holiday here and the host Ivan gave us great tips what to do in the area as well. Brac is a beautiful island and this house is simply perfect “

Anna, Apr 2017

” This fully equipped house was in a wonderful location and lacked for nothing. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to make a wonderful meal. There was more than enough bath towels, beach towels and extra duvets if needed. The garden was wonderful and the ping pong table provided hours of entertainment for the kids. Ivan, the gentleman who showed us around when we checked in, was full of information on tours and things to do and was easy to reach if we had a question. Would absolutely come back! “
